Celebrating 10 years of the Small Grants Programme
Since it was launched in 2009, the Small Grants Programme has awarded over 160 grants to organisations across Africa which are making a real difference to palliative care provision and access for children and adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across the continent.
To mark the tenth anniversary of this programme, we invited all organisations which had previously received a grant to submit a short three-minute film which demonstrates the work they do, the difference the work makes to patients’ lives and the impact it has on their communities.
We are delighted to announce the winners of the Short Film Competition:
Winner: Kawempe Home Care, Uganda
Film: Paediatric Palliative Care Services for Children with Cancer
Winner: ELCT – Nyakahanga Palliative Care, Tanzania
Film: Unique Contribution Toward Palliative Care Development
Winner: Najojo Better Living Mission Association, Lesotho
Film: Because We All Care
Film: Rumphi Rural Palliative Care
Runner Up: Centre Hospitalier Aru Cité – Soins Palliatifs, DRC
Film: Life in all its Fullness
Congratulations to all our winners and runners up and huge thanks to all those who entered.
